Please note that any parts that are not specifically mentioned in what is covered section are not covered under this extended warranty.
- Maintenance:
- Maintenance service: This Extended Warranty does not cover maintenance of the
vehicle. Typical maintenance service includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Wheel alignment, wheel balance, tyre rotation
- Brake and clutch inspection and adjustment
- Alignment, rectification, adjustment of all mechanical components unless related to a covered component failure.
- Drive belt inspection or any belts
- Fuel and/or cooling system for any material contamination and cleaning or flushing of the same.
- Carbon deposit and/or sludge formation and removal/cleaning of the same
- Engine tuning or phasing adjustments unless replacement occurs in connection with repairs to a covered part
- Other similar maintenance service normally necessitated by vehicle use
- Charging, recharging or rebuilding of the air conditioner
- Normal wear and tear
- Reset of service indicators, software update and programming
- Maintenance & cleaning of A/C components. Charging of A/c gas is not covered unless related to a Covered Component failure
- Parts maintenance: This Extended Warranty shall not cover maintenance parts and/or
expendable parts when they are replaced as part of a maintenance service normally
necessitated by vehicle use. Typical maintenance parts and expendable parts include, but
are not limited to, the following:
- All types of bulbs (including LED, HID, Xenon), filters and cables (Bowden cable). Battery, fuses, spark plugs, core plugs, diesel glow plugs, HT cables, drive belts, air cleaner elements, brake linings and pads, clutch discs, tyres, core /dummy plugs, wiper blades/rubbers and nozzles, audio speakers, pipes and hoses and unions, terminals and fuses, oil filters and gaskets, sump plugs, distributor cap and rotor arm
- Axle/drive shaft boots and gaiters of all types
- Timing belts/chains and associated parts
- Air conditioner refrigerant, fuel, oil, fluid, grease, lubricants or additives Exhaust systems.
- Maintenance service: This Extended Warranty does not cover maintenance of the
vehicle. Typical maintenance service includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Misuse and abuse: Refers to any failure caused by misuse, neglect, abuse, negligence and/or lack of normal
maintenance, improper servicing and/or any failure caused by the incorrect grade, the
contamination of and/or the failure to maintain proper levels of any fluids or lubricants.
This includes, but is not limited to:- Extreme severe handling or operation of a vehicle in competitions
- Overloading with passengers and/or cargo
- Continued use of vehicle after any fault has become evident
- Glass and lamps: This Extended Warranty shall not cover glass -nor lamp units/frames/lamp clusters.
- Body, interior and paint: This Extended Warranty shall not cover the following:
- Alignment and rectification of car body parts and bumpers
- Body/ chassis bushes, fasteners, fixtures, brackets
- Rattling, squeaking or similar noise and vibration
- Water leaks, such as, but not limited to, water leaking through ill-fitting or faulty rubbers or window seals, sunroofs or convertible covers
- Sun blinds, curtains convertible covers-
- Paint damage, rusting or corrosion on the body
- Intake air ducts & housings. A/c ducts, vents & housings. Bulk head or heat shield covers
- Fluid containers and reservoirs
- Fixtures such as chrome plated parts, weather strips, beadings, interior/exterior trims and, window/door glasses,
- Front and rear windscreen & mirror lens
- Cup/item holders, interior furnishings & upholstery, glove box lock, door stoppers/shocks/hinges.
- Alterations, modification and tampering: Any alteration or any failure/damage resulting from alteration, modification, tampering or from equipping of parts, devices and/or body fittings, which have not been performed or officially authorised shall not be covered by this Extended Warranty.
- Incidental costs: This Extended Warranty shall not cover any incidental expense(s) as a result of the vehicle
being repaired. Such expenses may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Telephone charges
- Towing charges
- Accommodations
- Alternative transportation costs
- Rental or loaner car expense
- Travel or business loss
- Physical injury to people or damage to property of any kind
- Non-genuine parts and accessories: This Extended Warranty shall not cover any case that is clearly caused by the use of non- genuine or non-authorised parts and/or accessories.
- Non-installation at manufacturer or Authorised dealers: This Extended Warranty shall not cover any damage of parts and accessories installed at any place other than the manufacturer or Authorised dealers.
- Manufacturer's Exclusions: Any exclusions which is specifically stated in manufacturer's warranty and any component which were not originally fitted by the manufacturer even if such parts are fitted by the Authorized Service Centre. We will not accept any liability for losses which are covered under the Vehicle manufacturer's warranty or similar guarantee.
- Damages additionally not covered
- Aerials, airbags and related systems, body, door seals, electrical wiring and wiring looms, nuts, bolts, studs, clips, springs
- No liability will be accepted for damage caused by neglect, corrosion, any foreign matter getting into or onto a part, lack of servicing, overheating or freezing, abuse or overloading, damage to parts not covered by this Extended Warranty, parts which have been fitted incorrectly, consequential losses of any nature
- Overheating: Cracks and failures to cylinder heads and cylinder blocks as a result of damage caused by overheating, lack of lubrication and carbon build up, burnt or pitted valves.
- Consequential damage of any kind, which is:
- The damage caused to a covered component as a result of damages to a non-covered component or Vice versa (please note that consequential damage to a covered part will be paid for if caused by a covered part). Damage caused by the direct effects of storm, hail, lightning, earthquake, floods, fire, charring or explosion
- Damage caused by any external factors, including but not limited to:
- Chewing or destruction by animals or vermin.
- Any road traffic accidents or external impacts.
- Damage caused by warfare of all kinds, civil war, internal unrest, strikes, lockouts, confiscation or other governmental interventions or by nuclear energy, sonic boom.
- Damage caused by any deliberate or wilful act, illegal removal (theft), unauthorised use, robbery or misappropriation.
- Damage for which a third party (manufacturer or distributor) is or was responsible during a repair order or any other guarantee commitment.
- Damage caused through participation in racing, time trials or related driving events.
- Damage that results from any foreign matter getting into or onto a part.
- Damages not reported within 10 days after the relevant fault has become apparent.
- Damages caused by incorrect fitting, faulty manufacture or design.
Important: If the Vehicle Owner makes a claim knowing the claim to be false and/or fraudulent as regards to the value or the amount of work or otherwise, this Extended Warranty shall be deemed void and the right to prosecute is reserved by the administrator.

Tras EWP (Extended Warranty Programme) is an optional protection plan that extends selected vehicle warranty coverage after the manufacturer’s warranty ends.
2) Is Tras Extended Warranty Programme compulsory?
No. Extended Warranty Programme is optional, but highly recommended as added protection for peace of mind.
3) Why should customers take Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Tras Extended Warranty Programme helps reduce unexpected repair costs and gives customers cost certainty for major repairs after the standard warranty period.
4) What is the difference between Tras Extended Warranty Programme and other extended warranty offerings in the market?

Tras Extended Warranty Programme is tailored for new cars and all approved replacements are done using brand new, manufacturer original parts.

Eligibility & Purchase Conditions
1) Who is eligible to buy Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Tras Extended Warranty Programme is available to:
- New car owners at point of sales, and
- Existing car owners with at least 120 days (4 months) remaining before manufacturer’s warranty expiry.
2) My customer has owned the car for 4 years. Can they still purchase Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Yes, provided:
- Purchase is made within 4 months before warranty expiry, OR
- Vehicle mileage does not exceed 150,000 km at point of purchase.
3) Is car inspection required to buy Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
No inspection is required.
However, customers must provide a full-service record from an authorised service centre at the time of claim.
4) If a customer buys a Mitsubishi/Proton/VW/Audi from a non-EON dealer but services at an EON dealer, can they still buy Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Yes, they can still purchase Tras Extended Warranty Programme.
5) Can customers buy Tras Extended Warranty Programme if the car was previously involved in an accident?
Yes, as long as:
- Repairs were done at an authorised service centre, and
- Tras Extended Warranty Programme is purchased more than 120 days before warranty expiry.
6) How can existing car owners pay for Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
They may pay via:
- Debit card
- Credit card

Loan & Payment
1) Can Tras Extended Warranty Programme be included in the loan submission?
Yes. Extended Warranty Programme can be added to the loan as an accessory.

Tras Extended Warranty Programme is reflected as an accessory and added to the total loan amount.

Mileage & Claims
1) Is there a mileage limit for Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Yes. The maximum mileage limit is 250,000 km.
2) Does mileage reset when Tras Extended Warranty Programme starts?
No. The total mileage cap remains 250,000 km.
3) What if the mileage limit is reached before the manufacturer’s warranty ends?
Tras Extended Warranty Programme will begin once the manufacturer’s warranty ends, whether due to time or mileage, whichever comes first. If the vehicle reaches 250,000 km before the manufacturer’s warranty expires, the Tras EWP will be void and will not commence thereafter.
4) Is there a cap amount per claim?
There is no cap per claim. All claims are only capped by the total plan limit selected.

5) How do I explain “unlimited per claim but capped at sum insured” to customers?
Each claim has no specific limit, but the total amount claimed during the coverage period cannot exceed the plan limit.
Claims, Accidents & Repairs
1) Who handles Tras Extended Warranty Programme claims?
After Sales handles all claims.
The SA’s role is to clearly explain coverage at point of sale.
2) Where are Tras Extended Warranty Programme claims done?
Claims can only be made at EON Panel Extended Warranty servicing workshops.
3) How do customers make a claim under Tras Extended Warranty Programme?
Customers may bring their vehicle to any EON panel servicing workshop for claim assessment and processing.
4) Can customers claim under Tras Extended Warranty Programme if the car is involved in an accident?
No. Accident-related repairs are covered under the motor insurance policy, not the extended warranty programme.
5) What if the car is involved in an accident and refurbished parts are used for repairs?
In the event of an accident, it is advisable to claim under the motor insurance policy, as Tras EWP is designed to cover car breakdowns only, and not accident-related damage.
If repairs are carried out by an EON authorised service centre, the replaced parts will remain covered under Tras EWP, subject to policy terms.
Please note:
Tras EWP covers replacement using original manufacturer parts for eligible breakdown-related claims.
Renewal
1) Can customers renew Tras Extended Warranty Programme when their Extended Warranty Programme expires?
Customers may renew Tras EWP provided there are at least 120 days (4 months) remaining before the previous policy expires.
They may choose a 1-year or 2-year renewal, subject to the car’s age and mileage at the time of renewal.
2) Can customers renew Tras Extended Warranty Programme if they have already used up the plan limit?
Yes. Customers may repurchase Tras Extended Warranty Programme even if the previous plan limit has been fully utilised, subject to insurer’s final approval.
Servicing & Warranty Conditions
1) What if the customer services late or misses a service interval?
There is a grace allowance of:
- Up to 1,000 km, or
- 30 days from the required service interval.
2) What happens if the service interval exceeds the allowance?
Tras Extended Warranty Programme may be voided if required service intervals are not followed.
3) What will void the Tras Extended Warranty Programme coverage?
- If the principal (manufacturer’s) warranty is voided
- Failure to follow required service schedule or mileage limits
4) Does Tras Extended Warranty Programme continue if the original warranty is voided?
No. Once the principal warranty is voided, Extended Warranty Programme becomes invalid.
Transfer & Resale Value
1) Is Tras Extended Warranty Programme transferable if the car is sold?
Yes. Tras Extended Warranty Programme is transferable to the next owner until the plan expires.
2) Does Tras Extended Warranty Programme help enhance the car’s resale value?
Yes. Tras Extended Warranty Programme can improve resale value as it shows the vehicle still has warranty coverage.
